Speak Auto-text

Auto-correct can be a useful tool, but it’s not a perfect system; sometimes auto-correct changes what you’re saying to (at best) nonsense. Rather than turning auto-correct off in order to avoid those embarrassing mistakes, you can turn Speak Auto-text on. With the Speak Auto-text option turned on, your iPhone or iPad will read aloud the text it auto-corrects, giving you a chance to catch mistakes. Think of it as a “second chance spell checker.”

To turn on Speak Auto-text on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings –> General –> Accessibility –> and turn Speak Auto-text to “On.”

With that turned on, you can easily avoid situations like this:
